First Quarter 2011

22 June, 2011

At the first Quarter of 2011 Venturi, Inc. Quarterly Breakfast, the Venturi Brighter Day Employee fund awarded two grants. The recipients for this quarter were: Habitat for Humanity of Athens and Friends Inc. of Huntsville.

Our first recipient for this quarter, Friends Inc. is an organization that provides transportation and assistance for terminally ill patients who would otherwise not be able to make Dr appointments or to get necessities that the patients need. They will be using their $5000.00 check to upgrade computer system and office furniture. They will also be purchasing magnetic signs for the vehicles of the volunteers so they can be easily identified by the patients upon arrival.

The second recipient for this quarter, Habitat for Humanity Athens/Limestone County is an organization that is known for assisting with housing for the displaced and homeless. They recently have begun branching out and opening Home building supply stores. They will be using their $5000.00 check to aid in the opening of an Athens location. This will give the needy a place to shop for necessary items for home improvements at a discount price.
