Third Quarter 2011

At the 2011 third Quarterly Breakfast, the Venturi Brighter Day Employee fund awarded four grants. The recipients for this quarter were United Cerebral Palsy, AMBUCS, Athens Limestone County Family Resource Center, and First Stop.

Our first recipient for this quarter, United Cerebral Palsy is an organization that enhances quality of life for individuals with disabilities.  They will be using their $5,000.00 check to purchase necessities for a Sensory Room.

The second recipient for this quarter, AMBUCS is an organization that provides therapeutic tricycles to Tennessee Valley children. They will be using their $5,000.00 check to purchase approximately 10 new tricycles.

The third recipient for this quarter, the Athens Limestone County Family Resource Center provides support to families that need guidance, information, and mentoring. They will be using their $5,000.00 check to gain the specialized skill of a social worker.

Our final grant recipient for this quarter is First Stop. First Stop is an organization that provides counseling, physical and mental health monitoring, and social service benefits to the local homeless population. They will be using their $5,000.00 check to aid in the cost of a building addition at their facility.
