First Quarter 2012

At the 2012 first Quarterly Breakfast, the Venturi Brighter Day Employee fund awarded four grants. The recipients for this quarter were The Hartselle Historical Society, The CARE Center, Crisis Services of North Alabama, and Jehovah Jira, Inc. (305 8th ST.).

Our first recipient for this quarter, The Hartselle Historical Society d.b.a. The Hartselle Fine Arts Center is the only organization that provides a venue for individuals to participate in fine arts in the Hartselle community.  They will be using their $2,000 check to purchase a spot light for their theater and provide 8 scholarships to Camp Artselle.

The second recipient for this quarter, The CARE Center, is an organization that provides outreach and education to families in hopes of reducing generational poverty. They will be using their $5,000.00 check to purchase supplies for their Bags of Blessings program which provides meals to school aged children when school is not in session.

Our third recipient for this quarter, Crisis Services of North Alabama, responds to individuals and families in crisis and provides resources, to include, domestic violence shelters and a variety of counseling options. They will be using their $3,000 check to purchase a PA system, 2 lap tops and 2 monitors.

Our final recipient for this quarter, Jehovah Jira, Inc. (305 8th St) is an organization that provides a home and family to individuals with diverse mental disabilities who do not qualify for state services. They will be using their $5,000 check to help offset the burden of a recent $50,000 unplanned renovation.
